Dear all,

I have a question concerning the domestic violence module in the DHS. I would like to obtain a measure of whether:

- the female respondent experienced any emotional violence from her husband/partner in the previous 12 months
- the female respondent experienced any physical violence from her husband/partner in the previous 12 months
- the female respondent experienced any sexual violence from her husband/partner in the previous 12 months

I keep reading that these variables recorded over the previous 12 months exist, yet I cannot find them in the downloaded data. I can see d112a and d117a but these refer either to violence from the wife to the husband (v112a) or to violence to the woman from men other than the husband (v117a).

Any guidance on this? I am trying to obtain these estimates for 10 countries, namely Angola 2015, Burundi 2016, Ethiopia 2016, Malawi 2015, Uganda 2016, Tanzania 2015, Zimbabwe 2015, Haiti 2016, Nepal 2016, Timor Leste 2016.
