NFHS 4 (India) report published estimates of age-specific mortality rate. They have used the household schedule to compute the age specific mortality rate. However, in DHS guide or NFHS report the method which was used to estimate is not described. How to calculate the numerators and denominators for the same? Is the denominator simple number of individual in that particular age group?
