We propose the addition of questions and indicators focused on ethnicity, language and religion, as well as discrimination based on these categories.

Given the absence of demographic and health data disaggregated by ethnicity, language and religion worldwide -- an extremely worrying situation, since the limited data available clearly demonstrates that ethnic, linguistic and religious groups have limited access to and use of health services when compared to majority populations -- we believe it is crucial for the DHS-8 to collect, and encourage the collection of, further disaggregated data on by categories.
