Hi

I just recently got to work on my Cambodia's 2014 DHS dataset on a project looking at the double burden of malnutrition among children aged 36-59 months in Cambodia and i do all of my analysis in SAS studio. I understand that i will have to use the KR files since my unit of analysis is the children under 5. However, when i restricted my sample to those aged 36-59 months, i noticed a huge difference between my number of observations (~1700) and the one reported in the 2014 final report for Cambodia (~2600). The result tables can be found in the 2014 Cambodia's DHS report in the section Early Childhood Education and Development, page 188 onward, where the total number of children aged 36-59 months reported was ~2600.

I was wondering why there is such a huge difference, and for clarification, i have not done anything with regards to analysis yet, i have only restricted the age variable when i noticed this different numbers in reporting. I might be missing something, although i do not understand what exactly.

Any comments or help are much appreciated. Thank you so much!

Best,

Kennarey S.
