That is correct. The datasets you have are the recode datasets and have a different structure than the questionnaire. Please review the recode documentation at https://www.dhsprogram.com/publications/publication-dhsg4-dh s-questionnaires-and-manuals.cfm, and also review the documentation file provided with the dataset.
