I am a masters level student using the Nigerian DHS 2008 data set for my final thesis. I observed that the survey recorded 96% response rates which are pretty impressive. I want to clarify if participation in the survey was mandatory or if some form of compensation was given to the respondents. I perused the report on the survey but the my question was not answered. Would you mind clarifying this please. Thank You
