Dear Bridgette,

As you have mentioned that all the DHS have couple record files, Is it true for the India DHS rounds conducted in 1992-93 and 1998-99?
I know the later rounds (2005-06 and 2015-16) have these files but I am not sure if it is there for the above mentioned rounds.

In case it is not there, I am interested in comparing husband' and wife' years of education in all the four rounds. This information is there in the IR files of 1992-93 and 1998-99. Can I compare husband' and wife' years of education data from IR files of 1992-93 and 1998-99 to CR files of 2005-06 and 2015-16?

I am not sure if the partner's years of education in the IR files is reported by the wife or the husband. If it is reported by the wife then the problem is IR files will have partner's education reported by wife but CR files will partner's education reported by partner only?

Please let me know if you need any other information to answer this query.
