Dear User, The standard DHS questionnaires do not include this question. If you are not finding information in the data sets you have looked at, then most likely the question was not asked. I found Liberia DHS 2013 which did ask that question in the household "QH125 What is the distance from your home to the nearest health facility?". In Liberia DHS 2013 the question was recoded as a country specific variable. Most surveys will not have this question. The surveys which may have this will code as country specific. In the case of Liberia DHS 2013, QH125 was recoded as SH125. Country specific variables usually take the question of QHnn for household, Qnn for individual woman, QMnn for individual man and recode as SHnnn, Snn, SMnn where the nn is the question number in the questionnaire. Therefore, if asked in other surveys, the nn part would most likely be a different number. For example: In Liberia DHS 2013, the question was QH125 in the household questionnaire so the country specific variable is SH125. In another survey it might be QH113 so the recoded variable would be SH113. In most cases it has not been asked. I am attaching a spreadsheet with a few surveys I found related to "time and distance to health facility."
Thank you!
