In analyzing child labour data on domestic chores, I am unable to reproduce the exact estimates in some of the reports for the percentage of girls 5-11 and 12-14 who perform 28+ hours of domestic chores per week. Is there a cutoff that has been systematically employed for the number of hours children spend performing chores? For example, are very high values (90+) recoded as missing or as zero? I am referring specifically to Ethiopia 2011 and Gabon 2012, for which the estimates I have reproduced are just slightly (one or two decimals points) different from the estimates provided in the final reports. Any insight you could share on how the range of values regarding child labour is handled would be much appreciated.
