Dear Hassen,

Thanks for your query. At IPUMS-DHS, you can get these variables when you click on Children as the unit of analysis.

1. Go to idhsdata.org
2. Click on Select Data
3. Choose the unit of analysis (Children in this case)
4. Click Select Sample, and then select Ethiopia 2016
5. Use the Topics drop down menu to find the variables mentioned by Miriam King.
You'll find them in the categories Decision-Making, Domestic Violence, Sex Practice & Attitudes, and Socioeconomic Status.
Find any other variables you want as well, for example, on child nutrition.

6. Click on the + sign by a variable to add it to your data file. (Login with your DHS email and password).

7. When you have all the variables you need, click on "View Data Cart" in the upper right corner.
8. Click Create Data Extract.
9. Be sure to change the DATA FORMAT to the type of file you want. Again, click on Create Data Extract.

Initially, you will see a box that says "Processing." Reload the page until that switches to a green download link.

Click on the link, unzip the file, and you're ready to go.
