Hi,

I've been working with variables on HIV attitudes / knowledge and have successfully used the variables listed here in sets for a few other countries. However, in Burundi, the HIV-related variables only seem to appear in the male, not in the individual dataset, as was the case with other countries (Eth, Tnz, Ken, Rw). These variables are, however, present in the couples recode, with a much lower N.

Where can I find these variables for all female respondents, not just those who were part of the couples survey?

I downloaded the flat sets and the individual recode file in question is buir6hfl.

Some of the variables of interest:
V754CP (in male set: MV754CP label="Reduce risk of getting HIV: always use condoms during sex")
V754DP (in male set: MV754DP label="Reduce risk of getting HIV: have 1 sex partner only, who has no other partners")
V754JP (in male set: MV754JP label="Can get HIV from mosquito bites")
V774B (in male set: MV774B label="HIV transmitted during delivery")
V781 (in male set: MV781 label="Ever been tested for HIV")
V823 (in male set: MV823 label="Can get HIV by witchcraft or supernatural means")
V825 (in male set: MV825 label="Would buy vegetables from vendor with HIV")

Thank you!
