Dear DHS,

In the Cambodia DHS 2020-21 country report, on page 308, table 14.11, various types and combinations of intimate partner violence (IPV) disaggregated by marital status are provided i.e. Marital status: Never married (Currently has intimate partner, Had intimate partner) and Ever married (Married/living together, Divorced/separated/widowed).

I am unable to figure out what variable(s) were used (using Stata) to calculate IPV indices disaggregated by the marital status.

Secondly, how the sub-sample of women was selected using Stata for IPV that included all women with their intimate partner defined as:
"The term husband includes a partner with whom a woman is living as if married. Husband/intimate partner refers to the current husband for currently married women; the most recent husband for divorced, separated, or widowed women; the current intimate partner for never-married women who currently have an intimate partner; and the most recent intimate partner for never-married women who do not currently have an intimate partner but had one in the past".

Thank you so much!
