Following is response from DHS Research & Data Analysis Director, Tom Pullum:

The only way to identify pregnancies other than those that resulted in a live birth is with the contraceptive calendar. It is given as vcal_1 and vcal_6. In vcal_1, a month with a T indicates a termination. In vcal_6, T is replaced with A for an induced abortion, K for a miscarriage, or S for a stillbirth.
