Following is response from DHS Research & Data Analysis Director, Tom Pullum:

There has been some variation in the questions asked about schooling, but "last year of school attendance" does not sound familiar. You can go to the household questionnaire in an appendix to the final report on a survey to see exactly what was asked in that survey.
