Dear Sir/Ma'am

I am trying to calculate the crude death rates or specifically adult mortality rates in India using NFHS dataset for all four rounds. I found a do file on Github that provides the command for the same. However, the commands in the do file requires sibling history/data on sibling's death, which I believe is not captured or collected in the case of India's NFHS.

so my question is, How shall I calculate the crude death rates that are provided in the annual report published by the authority/offical agency?.

Please help me with the same. I wish to calculate the crude death rates and adult mortality across gender and caste in India.
Any help would be appreciated.
