Importing DHS to R studio [message #12548]

Hi all,
Trying to read in a DHS dataset to R studio. I've tried read.file and read.spss. From both, I get the error message "No such file or directory". When I use the import package in R studio, I get the error message " Failed to parse ["file"]: Invalid file, or file has unsupported features. "

Any advice?
