Dear Expert, greetings. I think there is a miss-match on calssifying anaemia among pregnant and non-pregnant women on EDHS 2016 report
According to Table 11.7, <12 mg/dl is cut off point for anemia among pregnant women, while <11 mg/dl is the cut off point among the non-pregnant women. But Table 11.11.1 and the DHS statistics guideline recommend the reverse: <11 mg/dl for pregnant women and <12 mg/dl for non-pregnant women. Which one is right, please?
Regards
Melese.

Dear Melese,

You are correct. There appears to be a typo in Table 11.7. Thank you for informing us. The Guide to DHS Statistics is correct. However, please note that the categories for anemia have changed since Feb 2019 (check the changes over time section in the guide).

I also what to take this opportunity to let you know about our code library project that contains SPSS and Stata code for all the indicators listed in the Guide. Please read the readme files and the main files for each chapter as well as any notes before attempting to use any of the code. https://github.com/DHSProgram

Thank you.

Best,
