Hi,

Please can you provide some guidance on merging the DHS 2017-18 for Pakistan.

To merge the household and child datasets I'm using the following code:

gen hh_uniqID=(hv001*100)+hv002 //household data (HH recode dataset)
gen hh_uniqID=(v001*100)+v002 // child (Children recode dataset)
merge m:1 hh_uniqID using householddata.dta

However, I would like some guidance on merging the "Household member recode" and "Births recode" datasets.

There have been several posts on merging. Please search the forum and also reference the PDF of the Guide to DHS Statistics, search for "Matching and Merging Datasets", and see the examples in this section.
