How can I reshape the PR file to get child level data? I also need to keep variables like mother's education etc and household characteristics.

Following is a response from DHS Research & Data Analysis Director, Tom Pullum:

Child-level information is in the KR file for children under five whose mother is in the household. There are some children under-five in the PR file whose mother is not in the household, but we have very little information about them. The KR file includes virtually all of the mother's information and some of the household information. I have two questions for you: (1) what, specifically do you want from the PR file that is not already in the KR file?; and (2) does your analysis require that you include children whose mother is not in the household?
