For my investigation, I require an educational variable, which includes technical/vocational training (country-specific response possibility in "highest educational level") and employment/work specific variables. While there is a male-specific dataset, which includes all my variables for male respondents, I struggle finding the same data for the female sample. Since there is no separate women's recode I wonder where to find the respective data (may it be for male and female combined or exclusively for women). I thought IPUMS DHS could be helpful since it allows for the extraction of "women" specific demographic data. However, they standardized the "highest educational level" variable down to "none", "primary", "secondary" and "higher", despite revealing the "technical/vocational" option in the survey text section. Thus, might there be a way to extract this country-specific variable more differentiated for male and female samples (in conjunction with the work and demographic data)?
