Hello DHS Program. I am Fattah, from Indonesia.

I would like to ask the explanation of variable V481C and V481E in the IDHS 2017. In the dataset, V481C is for social security (Non-PBI) and V481E is for health security - non-contribution which in the context of Indonesia means PBI. However, after looking at the book of IDHS 2017 (Indonesian version), the result of V481C in the dataset is close to the result of V481E in the IDHS 2017 book, and vice versa.

What should I do next for analysing this variable?

Looking forward to seeing your reply.

Many thanks.

Following is a response from DHS Research & Data Analysis Director, Tom Pullum:

We apologize for the delay in responding to your July 2 forum post. We have determined that the tables on health insurance in the report are correct, but, as you suggested, the labels for v481c and v481e are reversed. The correct labels would be "PBI" for v481c and "non-PBI" for v481e. Thank you for alerting us to this error.
