Dear Sir / Madam,

I am currently analyzing the Nepal DHS data of 2006, 2011 and 2016. I am using the children recode, because I wanted every observation as a single birth/delivery.
However when looking at the caseid's, there are some duplicate variables with the same case-id. At first I thought that this would be the case because it concerned a twin. However this is not always the case.

If I use the command: 'codebook caseid' not all the variables are unique. But when I use the command duplicates report, there are no duplicates in terms of all variables.
Why, if it is the children recode which should see each observation for 1 child, are some caseid's the same?

So my overall question is, why are there sometimes the same caseid's? Because I want to have every observation as a unique one.
I hope my question is clear and you can help me with it.

Thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
Maxime
