Hi,
I have been using the anthropometric information for children from the Cambodian DHS (2014). In the final report, the following is stated on page 8: "Children younger than age 24 months were measured lying down (recumbent length) on the board, whereas standing height was measured for older childrenn".. I am using a sample of children aged between 6-23 months so assuming that the previous statement is true, all children should have been measured lying down. However, upon inspection of hw15, it seems that a large proportion of children were also measured standing. Please can you clarify which information is true?
Many thanks

Following is a response from DHS Lead Nutrition Research Associate, Rukundo Benedict:
In some cases it is not always possible to measure children under 2 lying down, this could be due to excessive fussiness of children or in some cases cultural beliefs. In these cases, children will be measured standing up and an adjustment factor is applied during the data processing stage.
