This request has been compiled by the Environmental Health Team at USAID Bureau for Global Health in coordination with the broader Water Team at USAID, the WHO/UNICEF Joint Monitoring Programme for Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene (JMP) and other expert stakeholders across multiple sectors. Our Request for Revisions are attached.

1. Water quality testing is required in order to report on SDG 6.1. Additionally, recent evidence shows that 'improved' water sources do not reliably provide safe water despite unsafe water being the number one risk factor for diarrhea among all ages, responsible for 70% of diarrhea deaths.
2. Menstrual Hygiene Management questions are globally appropriate due to their clear association with a range of health, psycho-social, and economic outcomes.
3. Additional question on secondary water sources which will help in estimating the population using multiple intermittent sources of water, enabling stakeholders to allocate resources towards improvements and enable use of the safest water supply available.
4. Questions on emptying of on-site sanitation facilities can lead to estimates for the "treated and disposed of in situ" fraction of safely managed sanitation services (SDG 6.2) as well as informing the calculation of the off-site treatment component of safely managed sanitation services

Thanks to all the organizations who provided important technical input, reviews, comments and endorsements. It was truly a team effort and it was a pleasure having these discussions with all of you.
