Hello all
I am wondering whether it is possible, in theory, for the same women to be captured across survey waves in a given country.
I can't imagine that there is anything preventing this in the sampling.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Best Wishes
Sandy

A response for Senior Sampler, Dr. Ruilin Ren:
Quote:
Since DHS use De Facto population (women 15-49 stayed in the selected household last night), theoretically, a woman can be captured multiple times across the survey waves in the same survey. But the chance is very small. Furthermore these women will not be interviewed multiple times since they usually tell the interviewer that they were already interviewed. This is not really a methodological concern since the chance is very small.
Thanks
Ruilin
