I am working with Angola's dataset (IIMS 2015-2016).
When I make a crosstabs between "had diarrhea recently" and "type of place of residence", I obtain the following results:

Had diarrhea recently * Type of place of residence Crosstabulation
Count
Type of place of residence

Had diarrhea recently Urban Rural Total
No 6409 5163 11572
Yes, last two weeks 1087 804 1891
Don't know 83 73 156
Total 7579 6040 13619

After comparing these results with the final report, I noticed that I have 950 children more. I do not have much experience working with DHS datasets. Later, I opened another dataset (Guatemala) and faced the same problem: the results I got do not match with the data of the report.
I need help....
Thanks
Best Regards

Dear User, A good place to start working with our datasets is The Guide to DHS Statistics.
Some things you need to consider are using the weight variable and using the correct denominator. We also have Various DHS Tutorials on the website. You may also want to check out Using Data Sets for Analysis
