Hi, I am using the ALIR50DT data under Albania. Some of the variables are listed as being coded country specific in the recode manual and map. I was wondering how to find out what the values are for Albania specifically for these variables? I looked at the "Albania Demographic and Health Survey 2008-09" publication and the survey is at the end of the publication, however it does not seem to line up with the actual coding of the variables in the data set.

For country specific questions, the variables are generally named and coded in the same way as they were on the questionnaire. The variable will have a leading "SH" if the question was asked at the household level, a leading "S" if asked at the women's level, and a leading "SM" if asked at the men's level. If you still cannot line up the country specific variables, please let us know the names of the variables and the name of the dataset.

Thanks, I am having trouble with v130, and v131 for ALIR50FL. These correspond to question 118 and 119 on the survey.

What is the problem? Following is how the questions were recoded:

{ Religion }
V130 = Q118; }
if Q118 = 6 then V130 = 96 endif;

{ Ethnicity }
V131 = Q119;
if Q119 = 7 then V131 = 96 endif;

Oh I see what I was misunderstanding- 96 is for the "other" categories. Sorry I am a student and pretty new to working with data like this.
