Hi there!

I am trying to look at total numbers as opposed to just men or women. For instance, instead of looking at "Mean BMI" for men and women in India in 2006, I would like to look at "Mean BMI" for all people living in India in 20016. Is there a way to download total data?

Following is a response from Senior DHS Stata Specialist, Tom Pullum:

The height and weight measurements required for calculating the BMI are only collected for subpopulations. The mean BMI can only be given for those subpopulations. DHS would not recommend that you extrapolate to the general population of all India.
