Hello,

I'm having problems replicating official reports on health insurance coverage by wealth quintile using Philippines 2013 DHS data. I have managed to replicate health insurance coverage nationally and by urban-rural sectors. However, when I get to tabulating health insurance coverage by wealth quintile, I'm getting slightly different results.

Does anyone know if there are any issues with regards to the construction of the wealth quintiles in Philippines 2013? Any help would be much appreciated.

A response from Dr. Shea Rutstein:

Since the wealth quintiles are just values 1 to 5 for each household and for each respondent, any issues with them would not affect a tabulation by wealth quintiles unless the wealth index was redone after the time the national report was published. Please indicate the differences found.
