Hello,

The 2014 Rwanda DHS survey includes HIV testing among children, but I'm not sure which file contains this data and which dataset to merge it with. The HIV dataset includes the identifying variables: Cluster, Household, Line Number and Bar Code, but the Children's and Birth recodes all have an additional variable that identifies the child because the mother is the line number. And neither the Children's nor the Birth recode includes an equivalent of the bar code.

Does the HIV file include the children's HIV test results, and if so, which other file should it be merged with to get additional survey information about each child tested?

Thanks very much!

A response from senior data processing expert Ladys Ortiz:
Quote:

Should merge HIV data with the "PR" data file (members) in order to assign HIV result to children 0-14 years of age.
