Hello there..
why is southwest region missing in the data(variable v101) yet the report (UDHS 2006) on page 4 shows southwest Uganda was part of the sample???

Please be more specific about which dataset recode files you are using.
When I check UGIR52DT I see the southwest region in the dataset.
In general we recommend using the v024 variable to identify the DHS region in the dataset.
