Following is a response from DHS Senior Research Associate, Shireen Assaf:
Quote:The anthropometric measures for children can be found in the PR or KR file. In the PR file, the child's weight is hc2 and their height is hc3. You will see in the tabout of these variables that there were some cases that either refused to be measured or were not present. To match the DHS tables for stunting, wasting and underweight you would use the variables hc70, hc71, and hc72 but you need to recode the values 9996 and 9998 as missing. The women's weight and height can also be found in the PR file (ha2 and ha3) and again you will see some cases refused or were not present. To match the DHS tables for women's BMI you would need to use the IR file and the variable v445 (these are only for women 15-49). Please note that to match the table for women's BMI you would need to exclude pregnant women and women who have a child that is less than 2 months old.
