I have merged the HIV and Individual file (Men and Women files) together but I have noticed that I get 2 to 3% of the sample cases where the cases have HIV info but no individual info. I have checked the caseID in all files and the CaseID of these files (the ones that have HIV info but no Individual info) are not found in the Men or Women's files. Is this possible? This means that there was blood sample taken from individuals that did not take the survey.

Thank you.

Here is a response from one of our Senior Data Processing Specialists, Noureddine Abderrahim.

HIV data is collected at the household level. Some women and some men might not have an individual interview but they might give blood when they are asked to.
