Dear DHS experts,

I am working on the BDHS 2011 data. Can anybody provide me the SPSS or Stata code to calculate the mean age at first marriage? Like this table found in the paper: "What's in the Gap? Factors Associated with the Interval Between Age at First Sex and Age at First Marriage in Cameroon and Their Implications for Reproductive Health and Women's Empowerment"

Following is a response from Senior DHS Stata Specialist, Tom Pullum:

The calculation is done one way for all-woman surveys, such as Cameroon 2004, and another way for ever-married women surveys, such as the Bangladesh surveys. The 2014 survey of Bangladesh was recently released. You may prefer to use that rather than the 2011 survey. Please identify the table in the DHS Bangladesh report that includes the number you are trying to replicate and ask for help with that number. We cannot try to figure out what someone else may have done with DHS data.
