Is it possible to match several DHS datasets for individuals and for households as shown below? I mean is it possible to match for the same household or individual their data for DHS2000, DHS2005 and DHS2010 in order to study trends? For example, if I am interested in the changes within the same individual over a 15 year period?

Following is a response from Senior DHS Stata Specialist, Tom Pullum:

The samples are completely different in successive surveys. It has probably never happened that an individual or a household has appeared in more than one DHS survey. The kind of linkage you describe is not possible.
