Dear DHS users,

Does anybody know where to find the cards used for the literacy variable v155 (in DHS datasets since phase 4). I have found the following explanation in the documentation :

"Each card should have four simple sentences appropriate to the country (e.g., "Parents love their children.", "Farming is hard work.", "The child is reading a book.", "Children work hard at school."). Cards should be prepared for every language in which respondents are likely to be literate. "

I would like to know the actual card used for each country and each phase since the difference between the literacy rate by cohorts recovered from the previous variable (v108, only asking the respondents to self-assess his literacy level) and the rate recovered from the new variable is important in some cases (for instance, for Ghana between phase 3 and 4 for respondents with no secondary education), generating a huge discontinuity.

Thank you for your help,

Yasmine
