Dear DHS specialists,

I am a first year M.Sc student trying to examine the differences in ANC use (4 outcomes) among muslim women across India, Bangladesh and Pakistan.

I have merged the Household questionnaire and women's questionnaire for each country, but I have no idea how to append the 3 country data sets

Is it possible, to append all three data sets.

Can anyone give me some code, or help me solve this problem. All the forums were quite confusing me to read, and many had nothing to do with my situation.

Many Thanks,

Rohin Krishnan

If you are using Stata, it is quite easy: http://www.stata.com/help.cgi?append

1) Open one of the files
2) type "append using 'filename1'
3) type "append using 'filename2'

And you are done. You will, though, have to de-normalize the weights at some point if you plan to use them. You can see a number of threads on the forum about how to do that.
