How can i calculate total no of pregnant women in the 3 years before the survey and no. of under 5 child?

Following is a response from Senior DHS Data Processing Specialist, Noureddine Abderrahim:

V238 is the number of births in the past three years. V208 is the number of births in the past five years. In case you want to add the current pregnancy, check V213. If the respondent is pregnant, add one to the number of births found. For more details on the standard DHS variables, refer to the DHS Recode Manual which can be downloaded from the DHS program website:
