Hi,
I am trying to get children born in ten years preceding NDHS 2011 survey. How do I get that?

Use the Birth's Recode (http://dhsprogram.com/data/Dataset-Types.cfm) and generate a variable indicating "born in last 10 years". Then drop all of the children who were not born in the last 10 years.
