I am not able to get the N in table 10.10 of NFHS 3 report for India;
Table 10.10 Infant and young child feeding (IYCF) practices:
"Percentage of youngest children age 6-23 months living with the mother who are fed with appropriate feeding practices based upon number of food groups and times they are fed during the day or night preceding the survey by breastfeeding status and background characteristics, India, 2005-06"

I am using the following:

keep if bidx==1 & b9==0
gen agech=v008-b3 if b5==1
recode agech (0/5=1 "0-5")(6/23=2 "6-23")(24/max=3 "2+"), g(chage1)

However, the table has 15,066 as total number of youngest children age 6-23 months living with the mother.
I am getting 13,879 and is not able to understand what I am missing.
Kindly suggest.

Thanks and Regards
Arin

Dear User,
It looks like you are not using the Weight variable. I looked at the unweighted table and the N is closer to what you have 13,904. Please refer to Guide to DHS Statistics on our website for some additional guidance. http://www.measuredhs.com/pubs/pdf/DHSG1/Guide_to_DHS_Statis tics_29Oct2012_DHSG1.pdf
Thank You!
