Hi all,

I'm trying to transform a DHS vaccination variable (e.g. 'Received measles vaccination'), so that the responses are categorised into the binary 'yes' or 'no'. Currently the responses are 'no', 'on vaccination card with date', 'on vaccination card no date', 'recall by mother' and 'do not know'. I'd like to keep the 'no' responses, aggregate the middle three responses into 'yes', and ignore the small number of 'do not knows'. But I can't see how to do this in SPSS. Is anyone able to help talk me through how I do it?

Many thanks in advance,
Charlie

Hi all,

I've found out how to do this (which is embarassingly easy). So no need for any response now thanks,

Charlie
