I am working on the DHS survey data for India from 2005-06. I am using women's data. There are separate data files for women, men and household data in SPSS. I want to use some particular variables from household data file into women's data file. Women's data file contain the information for more than 1 woman in a household, I cannot merge the variables properly. can anyone suggest me how to add these variables in the women data? I cannot use case id to do so. I have to repeat the same values for each woman in the same household that is given in the household data file.
Please help me for the same.

Thanks. I used it for merging some household variables in women's data file. But I can't do it for men data file. It shows duplicate cases error. So please suggest some solution for this.

Ok. I managed to do it by using SPSS with add variable option. So, the problem is solved.
