Dear Users,

I am trying to generate the Full PNC uptake variable (41 days). I am confused as to how this variable was collected. How do I know which denotes minutes, hours and days

Thank you.

Dear User,
Are you referring to recode variable M71? If so, the value sets are below:
Immediately/in first hour	100
Hours: 1	101
	102	198
Hours: number missing	199
Days: 1	201
	202	298
Days: number missing	299
Weeks: 1	301
	302	398
Weeks: number missing	399
Don't know	998
Missing	999
Not applicable
where 1 unit code is for hours
2 unit code is for days
3 unit code is for weeks
For example: 1 00 corresponds to immediately or in the 1st hour
1 06 corresponds to 6 hours
2 05 corresponds to 5 hours
9 01 corresponds to missing in the units (so can't really tell if the number portion is in hours, days, or weeks)
3 99 corresponds to missing weeks (missing from the data, interviewer error)
3 98 corresponds to Don't Know weeks (respondent did not know)
If you still have questions, please post again.
