Hi,

I was trying hard to get total number of births by wealth quintile, education and residence from DHS compiler to compute Concentration index for under-five mortality, but I could't. Your help is highly appreciated.

If you have access to Stata or some other statistical package, it might be easier to just download the datasets and use the Stata code for computing concentration index provided by O'Donnell et al. (2008) on the data (link here: http://www.worldbank.org/en/topic/health/publication/analyzi ng-health-equity-using-household-survey-data). Use the wealth index variable as the "income" variable.

I think there are also a number of Stata user-written commands to calculate the concentration index.
