When matching a KR file and a PR file, should I match the KR of each survey with the corresponding PR file, or should I merge all the KRS first and then match them with the merged PR file?

Following is a response from Senior DHS staff member, Tom Pullum:

I strongly recommend that you merge survey-by-survey, and THEN append the merged files. It will be much faster and it will be easier to fix problems (e.g. failures to merge).

If you are working with large data and want to optimize the processing, you can merge first, but check carefully for data loss or corruption.
