Hello,
I was working with the 2019 Senegal SPA datasets, specifically, SNFP8ADTSP. I noticed that several variables for family planning do not have labels for the values. For example, of109 (questions & concerns) has values of A, AB, B, and Y. I was wondering how one would go about interpreting these, and if there's another file that I'm missing?
Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,
The SP files are the raw files, so all the variables can be related back to the questionnaire. of109 is from question 109 in the observation instrument. The questionnaire provides the meaning for the values. In this case
A=If the health care worker asked if the client had any questions or concerns about methods, B=Client said they had concerns or posed questions about side effects or about the method, and Y=none. This is an "All that apply" question, so AB options are possible, when the data collector observed both A and B.
Best,
Sara
