Hi DHS,

How can I get the percentage of adolescents (ages 10-19) who are married from DHS Household Data file?

I viewed the Household Record file, however, the variables for age and marital status are of type 'multiple occurances' (max = 28). How can I tabulate these type of variables?

Please assist.

Following is a response from DHS staff member, Tom Pullum:

Users are asked to say which survey they are using. In general, in the PR file, age is given by hv105 and marital status is hv115. You may be looking at the HR file, in which households are units. It will be easier to use the PR file, in which individuals are units.
