Hello,
I am conducting a study about factors associated with exclusive breastfeeding in infants less than 6 months using Jordan DHS dataset 2018.
I d like to know which File should I use eithe IR or KR ?
Furthermore, which is more important; I am using spss data set, and I d like to make sure about excluding cases to get only data for six months of infants

Can you please tell me how to do that in some details?

Looking forward to hearing from your side soon!

Following is a response from DHS staff member Tom Pullum:

The data on child nutrition are specific to the child--usually just the youngest child--and are easiest to analyze with the child (KR) file. The same variables appear in the IR file but with subscripts, even though they are empty for subscripts other than "_1". The estimates in the DHS reports are always prepared with the KR file. To repeat, you would get the same results from the IR file but the data processing would be a little more difficult.

Thanks a lot for your response.
One more question please, what variable/variables should I use to get the children's age in months using the spss dataset?

Following is a response from DHS staff member Tom Pullum:

Age in completed months is given by hw1 in the Stata files, HW1 in the SPSS files.
