I am performing analysis on the GMHS 2017 dataset downloaded from the DHS. Unfortunately, I cannot find observations for certain variables, such as the wealth index or financial
status of women in the reproductive age in stata. There is also no variable for employment or occupation status in the dataset either. This makes analysis by socioeconomic characteristics quite vague.

Following is a response from DHS Research & Data Analysis Director, Tom Pullum:

"GM" is the code for Gambia, and Gambia did not have a survey in 2017. You must have meant "GH" and the Maternal Health Survey done in Ghana in 2017. This was a "special" survey, not a "standard" DHS survey, and it did not include the variables you mention. Those variables are in the 2014 standard DHS survey.
