For the Colombia DHS 2015, based on variable 'v044' the number of women who were selected and interviewed for the 'Domestic Violence' module were 38,087. However, the total number of responses to variable 'd121' (respondent's father ever beat her mother) are 24,890. So either there are 13,197 records missing or there was some filter that I am unable to figure out?
Kindly help.
Thanks

Following is a response from DHS Research & Data Analysis Director, Tom Pullum:

Here is the general way to resolve such issues. Go to the questionnaire and find the question that corresponds to d121. Then look at the flow of the questions from the start of the module to d121. You should find a pattern of skips and filters that led to some respondents being NA for d121. Let me know if you still can't account for the NA cases.
